950 platinum
Josephine Leroy works with 950 platinum for his jewellery.
Platinum is more rare than any other precious metal. Platinum is usually offered in the alloy 950. This consists of 95% platinum and 5% of a metal admixture and is particularly hard and resistant. Due to its exceptional toughness, there is virtually no abrasion on the jewellery pieces - the material merely shifts sideways. Moreover, hardly any other material can hold stones as securely as platinum.
Description
In order to build the stones into a circle, 18 stones must be found that differ as little as possible in appearance. This requires a very well trained eye, which can detect the finest differences.
When the stones are arranged for a circle, they are carefully placed in the setting by hand and fixed like a diamond.
As few foreign inclusions as possible and a striking colour are the characteristics that meet our quality standards.
The typical colour is white transparent. It is available in all shades.
The company has been cutting crystals with perfect precision for over 120 years. The family business was founded in 1895 by the visionary founder and can now look back on a long series of successful cooperations with tradesmen. Only the best materials are used for the production of crystals. Quartz, minerals and sand are processed into crystal in an elaborate process. The exact formula is a trade secret, left to his heirs. With this formula and a new type of grinding machine, he was the first to produce the finest crystal that sparkles like diamonds. Since then, a new breakthrough in the crystal industry has been achieved time and again: One example is the Platinum Pro Similisation, which makes crystals resistant to environmental influences and mechanical processes of processing (e.g. soldering). This guarantees the premium quality and high brilliance of the stones.
