Description

We only use natural gemstones which are cut to size in a complex process and sorted by hand in a multi-stage selection process.

After the first multiple sorting, the stones are cut into a brilliant shape and polished, then they are sorted again according to size, colour and purity.

To fit the stones into a circle, 18 stones have to be found that differ as little as possible optically from each other. This requires a very well trained eye, which can detect the finest differences.

When the stones are assembled for a Circle, they are carefully placed by hand into the setting and fixed like a diamond.

As a rule, a maximum of 1% of the respective rough stone can be used for our precious objects. To achieve the highest possible quality, all work is done by hand and by experienced specialists.

As few foreign inclusions as possible and a striking colour are the characteristics that correspond to our quality standard.

The typical colour of a garnet is orange to yellow, green, brown, violet, pink or even black transparent. It is available in all shades.

The garnet is quite a durable stone with a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the hardness scale. As mentioned earlier, a necklace made of garnets was found in a grave of a young man, dating back to 3000 BC, testifying to the durability of the stone. Garnet is actually the name of a family of ten different gemstones with similar chemical structure, encompassing a variety of colours, from red to orange to yellow, green, brown, purple, pink or even black. The main differences between the stones are slight variations in colour, density and refractive index.
